Merrimack Fire Department Collecting Supplies for Hurricane Sandy Victims
On Sunday Nov. 11, the Professional Firefighters of Merrimack will be conducting a drive to collect goods for the Long Island New York area that was recently decimated by Superstorm Sandy. People are still in dire need for items such as:
- batteries
- flash lights
- candles
- portable indoor gas stoves
- cold and flu medicine
- water/juice
- toilet paper
- paper towels
- toiletries/ shampoo etc.
- feminine products
- adult diapers
- prepared foods/ canned foods
- coffee /tea/ sugar
- milk (long lasting)
- dog food/ cat food/ litter
- chocolate for kids
- baby supplies/ wipes/ food / diapers (size 5 especially)
- hand warmers
- laundry detergent
- bleach
- big sponges
- Clorox wipes
- contractor bags
- gloves (rubber)
- mops
- masks (N95)
- crow / wrecking bars
- extension cords for generators
- rubber boots/ gloves
- shovels
- industrial brooms
- buckets
