Tell readers a little about yourself and your background.
The name Drápóel, for those of you who are wondering, is "leopard" spelled backwards. We get asked this question all the time!
My vision was to open a unique salon unlike any other in the area. The salon resides in an antique house that dates back to 1850. Through some research I discovered that the house was originally the E.C. Parker Farm. In 1985, the plaza was built onto the house and is now known as the "Hot Rize Bagel Cafe" plaza.
Since October 2005, we have completely renovated the space and exposed all the original hardwood flooring and tried to maintain the integrity of the original house. The decor is always changing, to keep the look fresh and interesting. Come in and see what we are all about.
In a nutshell, describe your business.
This is not your typical salon! Drápóel is a funky, vintage space with an energetic vibe! Decorated with antiques, cool modern furnishings, a little industrial, and a lot of Marilyn Monroe, it will be sure to keep you coming back.
Our staff is fun and creative and will help you find a new style or maintain the one you have. We are an upscale salon without the attitude or stuffiness, you'll feel right at home!
Our boutique items are always changing. We have the latest in jewelry trends, funky t-shirts from Los Angeles, cool sunglasses, hair accessories, etc., always perfect for that last minute gift item, or a treat for yourself. Our fun atmosphere is what we are known for, come experience Drápóel for yourself!
