Join Local Obama Supporters at Watch Party

Merrimack residents to host guests in home to watch President Obama's acceptance speech as the Democratic nominee on Thursday.

As the Democratic National Convention kicks off in Charlotte, Organizing for America – New Hampshire (OFA-NH) will hold events throughout the week to highlight the choice voters face in this election. Supporters across New Hampshire will gather in homes, campuses, and restaurants across the state to watch the speeches, discuss President Obama’s work so far and his vision for the future and contact their neighbors to continue to grow the President's grassroots organization. The week’s activities will culminate with a series of watch parties across the state on Thursday evening to watch President Obama’s speech accepting the Democratic Party nomination and the President and Vice President's grassroots event in Portsmouth on Friday.

The 2012 Democratic National Convention will crystalize the choice the American people have in this election between two very different paths for our country.  Through a program that reflects an America that’s greater together, the convention will reflect on President Obama’s life story of fighting for working and middle class Americans and what he’s done to rebuild an economy that’s meant to last, from the middle out.  It will describe the progress we’ve made in restoring the promise of America, that if you work hard and play by the rules, you’ll have a fair shot and a fair shake to get ahead and create a better future for you and your family.  And it will call attention to the many American heroes across this country – those who have played a role in our recovery, showed grit and determination in the face of great obstacles and moved our country forward.
