Pet Food and Other Supplies Needed for Hurricane Victims
Granite State Dog Recovery volunteers are headed to NYC this weekend with much-needed pet supplies.
Granite State Dog Recovery is looking for help from local residents. GSDR is a registered all volunteer non-profit 501c3 organization that works toreunite lost dogs with their owners in New Hampshire and beyond.
Hurricane Sandy has affected thousands. Sadly, some lost their lives. Others are dealing with Sandy’s aftermath of destroyed homes and ruined possessions. At GSDR, our hearts go out to all of those who were in her destructive path.
GSDR would like to rally its generous community of followers to gather much-needed items for Sandy’s lost/found and in-need animals. After collecting these items, members of GSDR will personally drive to animal shelters that were devastated and damaged in New York to drop them off.
Needed items include:
- Blankets
- Towels
- Dog Beds
- Cat Beds
- Dry Dog Food
- Dry Cat Food
- Canned Dog Food
- Canned Cat Food
- Pet Bowls
Please, only new or almost new items. These animals may need more things, but as space is limited in the delivery vehicles, only the above items are being accepted at this time.
GDSR members willl be leaving for New York on Saturday, Nov. 17.
There are four drop off locations for your convenience as there will not be enough time to mail items to GSDR directly. If you are able to donate, please call a number below, closest to your location to let them know you’ll be leaving donations at their addresses. As Holly, Lori and Peesh may not be at home when it’s convenient for you to drop items off, they will have designated areas at the locations for you to put your donations. Woof It Down will be able to take donations during regular store hours.
