Stop in for Coffee With a Candidate

School Board candidate Gary Krupp will meet with residents this Saturday and next.

Get to know School Board candidate Gary Krupp over "Coffee with a Candidate" at one of two upcoming events at local coffee shops.

Whether you want to get to know him better or discuss school-related issues, Krupp hopes voters will join him at local area businesses to chat informally.  Krupp says he borrowed the idea from the "Coffee with a Councilor" series put on by Town Council vice chairman Bill Boyd.

"I attended Councilor Boyd's event at Swan's and I thought it was just great," Krupp said. "It was a low-threat way to have a real conversation with a government official."

As he thought about his own run for School Board, Krupp decided that it might be a great way to meet parents and taxpayers to discuss what is on their mind.  "People can have a dialog over coffee that you just don't get at candidates night," Krupp said. "Plus, it would be a great opportunity for me to learn about the issues on voters' minds as well as promote local businesses. I hope to meet and talk with as many people as possible before April 10."
