Teacher Resigns, Moves After Arrests

Former Merrimack resident leaves Goffstown school after four arrests, weekend in jail.

Cassandra Beauchesne, the former Merrimack resident and Goffstown teacher has resigned from Maple Avenue School and moved to Amherst, according to an article today in the Union Leader.

Beauchesne's resignation was effective Dec. 6, according to the article, nearly a year after her first arrest and a day before her three-day stint in jail.

Back in September, the third and fourth times since last December, on criminal mischief charges for swinging a lawn chair and damaging his computer (Sept. 26). Three days later she was charged with stalking and breach of bail conditions for contacting her husband only hours after a judge ordered her to have no contact with him.

On Dec. 6, Beauchesne appeared in court where she pleaded guilty to breach of bail conditions and was sentenced to 60 days in jail, with all but three suspended for a year of good behavior. The stalking and criminal mischief charges were dropped in the agreement.

Her legal troubles began on Dec. 23, 2010, she was arrested on four counts of simple assault for slapping, punching and twice choking her husband.

On March 11, she was arrested a second time, charged with two felony counts of second-degree assault and one count of simple assault for allegedly hitting and choking him.
