Another Day, Another Flash Flood Watch in Merrimack

Weather advisory in place until Thursday evening.

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until Thursday evening for Merrimack and much of the rest of southern New Hampshire, according to the National Weather Service.

Thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall rates late Wednesday into Thursday, which could result in localized flash flooding. Flooding in creeks and streams could lead to high water on some low-lying roads.

The weather advisory says rain could fall at 1-2 inches an hour and if several storms move across the region in a short period of time, that could go up to 3 inches an hour.

A Flash Flood Watch means conditions may develop that lead to dangerous flooding.
