Flash Flood Watch Around New Hampshire on Tuesday

Advisory in place until 8 p.m.

Written by Dan Tuohy

Widespread rain has prompted the National Weather Service to issue a flash flood watch for most of New Hampshire until 8 p.m. on July 23. An excerpt from the flash flood watch advisory:

"While the majority of widespread rain moves north with the arm front...additional showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop towards midday into the afternoon. These showers and thunderstorms could bring torrential rainfall increasing the flash flood threat for the region."

The National Weather Service urges residents in central and southern New Hampshire, among other areas, to monitor forecasts and for motorists to watch out for possible ponding on roadways.
