Merrimack Dog Park in the Chase for Pet Safe Prize Money

Merrimack has been nominated and there are nine days until the first part of the contest ends June 7.

The Merrimack dog park is in the chase for serious funding via Pet Safe's "Bark for your Park" contest.

The prize money would help the local non-profit finish the dog park at Wasserman Park.

The "Bark for your Park" features a grand prize of $100,000, and four other communities will win $25,000 to build their dog parks, according to Pet Safe.

Merrimack has been nominated and there are nine days until the first part of the contest ends June 7.

One need not be a dog owner, or even live in town, to vote for Merrimack.
