Local Deals On Veterans Day

This weekend is a reminder to never forget the sacrifices our brave men and women have made over the years, and many businesses are doing their part to honor their service.

Veteran’s Day is officially on Nov. 11, and will be observed on Monday, Nov. 12.

A number of local businesses are saluting veterans, military service men and women, and their families this Veterans Day by offering local discounts, specials and promotions. We found a comprehensive list at Military Benefits.

Denny’s All You Can Eat Pancakes
Get all you can eat pancakes for all active duty military and veterans with a valid ID on Monday, Nov. 12

Friendly’s Free Breakfast and Coffee
Monday, November 12 until 11 a.m. get a free Big Two Do Breakfast and coffee.

Homestead Restaurant and Tavern
Monday, Nov. 12, Veterans will be treated to a free Prime Rib dinner beginning at 3 p.m.

Longhorn Steakhouse Free App & Drink
One free appetizer and one free non-alcoholic beverage Nov. 12 from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Outback Steakhouse Free Bloomin’ Onion and Coca-Cola
On Nov. 11 and 12 military personnel and veterans get free Bloomin’ Onion and Coca-Cola. Must have valid identification. Also, receive 10 percent off the entire guest check (excluding alcohol, taxes and gratuity) from Nov. 13- Dec. 31.

Texas Roadhouse Free Lunch 
Monday, Nov. 12, select from a special veterans lunch menu.

TGI Fridays Free Lunch
On Monday, Nov. 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. get a free Veterans Day lunch.

Uno’s free entrée or pizza with a purchase
On both Sunday and Monday, Nov. 12 get a free entree or individual pizza with an entree or pizza purchase or equal or greater value and with a military or veterans ID.

Home Depot Veterans Day Discount
Every year on Veteran’s Day the Home Depot offers a 10% discount on Veteran’s day.  Must present a valid military ID.  Home Depot also offers this discount to Veterans on Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day.

Jo Ann Fabric and Craft Stores 20 percent off
Get 20 percent off on Nov. 12. Official Facebook post “Check out Military Discount Days, too — present proof of your military service, past or present, or Military Dependent ID to receive 20 percent off your total purchase (including regular-, sale-priced and clearance items).”

Lowe’s Veterans Day Discount
All Veterans receive a 10% discount on Veteran’s Day up to $5,000 on in-stock and special-order purchases.  The offer can’t be used online, on previous sales or on sales of services or gift cards.  Must present a valid Veteran Identification Card (VIC), valid Form DD214 or other proof of service.  Lowes also offers this Veteran’s discount on Memorial Day and the Fourth of July.
