Help Give Rover a Place to Roam

Merrimack Parks and Recreation seeking volunteers for Watson Park pavilion and dog park subcommittees.

With a goal in mind of having a development plan and funding ideas in place by the end of the year, the Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department is seeking interested volunteers to sit on subcommittees that will plan a dog park and a pavilion at Watson Park.

Working with the Parks and Recreation Department, they will address the questions and needs of the community while developing plans to implement these two desired features at Watson Park on Daniel Webster Highway across from the , and .

Both features at the park are shown on its master plan. The dog park is shown in the northeast corner of the park, while the pavilion is desired in the south west corner, according to a press release from the Parks and Recreation Department. Residents interested in joining a subcommittee to work on ideas for the dog park or pavilion at Watson Park are encouraged to send a note of interest to the Parks and Recreation Department at 6 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack, NH 03054, or  email Parks and Recreation Director Sherry Kalish at skalish@merrimacknh.gov by Friday, Feb. 10.
