Donald Lyons, 69, Vietnam Veteran

Merrimack resident Donald Lyons, 69, died Thursday, Oct. 24 at the Kindred Hospital in Peabody, Mass., after a long illness, according to his obituary on Rivet Funeral Home's website.

Lyons served as a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, stationed in Da Nang, Viet Nam in 1969. He later worked as a budget officer and an assistant fiscal officer in various VA hospitals including in Manchester and Brockton, Mass., and in the central office in Washington, D.C.
