Heads up everyone....I live in the area of Wilson Hill Rd. and woke up to bird feeder annihilation.  My bird pole is bent like a paper clip and it is clear that something much stronger than a squirrel has torn them asunder and eaten every last morsel.  I would say our resident bears have awoken from their winter slumber...and they are hungry!!!

I just moved to Wilson Hill Rd and I warned my wife (who is not from a rural area) to never leave food outside. I will also never get a bird feeder for the reasons you outlined :) . I remember looking out into my grandfather's backyard up in Orford when the local bear came by to get his fill of the feeder. Gotta love em!

I will avoid Wilson Rd and tell my relatives to do so as well... Maybe just one visit.....your wife should see at least one real bear in her life...Maybe I'll have my cousin stop by on Saturday.. he'll just amble thru the yard and then be on his way, O.K.? Make sure she is looking...Deal?
