Bank Robber Made Threats, Got Away With Cash

Additional details and description of robbery and suspect from Wednesday.

The FBI and Merrimack Police are investigating a Wednesday evening bank robbery in which police say a man armed with a shotgun threatened the tellers and left the building on foot with cash.

The robbery occurred shortly before 5 p.m. on Aug. 21 at TD Bank, 300 Daniel Webster Highway.

A man dressed in a blue and white striped long-sleeve shirt, denim short and black sneakers with a black baseball-style cap and sunglasses, walked into the bank with the gun wrapped in a while cloth. Police say he lone gunman demanded cash from bank personnel and "was very direct and made threats during his demands."

Police say the suspect is a white male, approximately 5'6" to 5'9" about 200 pounds and somewhere between his late 20s to late 30s. He appeared to have auburn hair. 

He was last seen heading in the direction of the bank's entrance at the intersection of Mound Court and Greeley Street.
