Man Arrested For Knife Threat, Spitting at Officer

A Merrimack man was held on $10,000 cash-only bail after an arrest on Monday related to an incident in which he allegedly threatened other local residents with a knife and spit at a police officer's face.

Harrison A. Lambert, 21, of 8 Joppa Road, Merrimack, was charged with criminal threatening, a felony, resisting arrest or detention, attempted second degree assault and simple assault.

Police say they were called to Lambert's residence on Dec. 9 at 4:07 p.m. for a report of a man threatening other residents at the home with a a knife.

When police arrived they said they made contact with Lambert in the front yard, however, he was agitated and uncooperative with police as they attempted to question him. He allegedly then attempted to run from the officers, leading them on a short foot chase that ended with him being taken into custody. While in custody, Lambert allegedlt spit at one of the officers in the face. 

Lambert was held on $10,000 cash bail and scheduled for arraignment on Dec.
