Man Charged with Stealing Wallet from YMCA Locker

Merrimack Police said an employee at the Merrimack YMCA was charged in the incident.

Merrimack Police have arrested a Manchester man and charged him with theft for allegedly stealing a wallet from a locker at the Merrimack YMCA.

Police said Connor D. Durant, 18, was charged with theft by unauthorized taking June 26.

Officers responded to the Merrimack YMCA on June 25 for a theft complaint, and interviewed the victim and any possible witnesses to the theft, including Durant, who works at the YMCA.

Police said that, upon further questioning, Durant admitted that he was responsible for the theft and the wallet was recovered thereafter.

Durant was charged and released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail. He is scheduled to appear before the Merrimack Circuit Court on July 8.
