Man Faces Forgery, Theft Charges

Merrimack police said the alleged theft of bank checks occurred April 15.

Merrimack police have arrested a man in connection with his alleged theft of bank checks from a local resident on April 15.

Police said Christopher Scanlon, 32, of 19 Wire Road, Merrimack, was charged with forgery, identity theft and theft by unauthorized taking.

Scanlon was transported from the Valley Street jail, where he was incarcerated on unrelated charges, to the Merrimack Police Department where he was processed on the charges June 29, police said.

Scanlon was due in court June 30 to answer to the charges.
