Merrimack High Student Facing Drug, Alcohol Charges

Police were called to the high school for a report of a student under the influence.

A Merrimack High School student was arrested on drug and alcohol charges at the school on Friday.

Kellie Johansen, 18, of 47 Walnut Circle was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a prescription drug and possession of alcohol. She was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit District Division Merrimack Court on March 25 to answer to the charges.

According to Merrimack Police, around 8:13 a.m. Friday, they responded to Merrimack High School for a report of a student under the influence. After an administrative search by the school, it was determined that  Johansen was in possession of the prescription drug Adderall without a prescription for it. She was also found to be in possession of marijuana and had an alcoholic beverage in her vehicle which was parked in the school lot.

Merrimack Police arrested Johansen and transported her to the station to be processed.
