Merrimack Man Charged With Second DWI

The following arrest information was provided by Merrimack Police. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

A 26-year-old Merrimack man was arrested for his second driving while intoxicated offense just after 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

Nathan Schofield, of 108 Baboosic Lake Road, was stopped for speeding and erratic operation while driving his 1998 Nissan Pathfinder on Continental Boulevard. The officer who pulled Schofield over could smell alcohol on his breath and recognized signs of impairment, police say.

Polic conducted a brief investigation that included field sobriety tests and arrested Schofield. He was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled for arraignment in Merrimack's district court on Jan. 24.

Teen Headed to Juvenile Court for Criminal Mischief Charges

Police took a 16-year-old male juvenile into custody Friday evening when they were called to Wintergreen Drive for an out-of-control teenager. At the scene police learned the teen had punched a hole in a wall. He was taken into custody for criminal mischief and will answer to the charge in juvenile court.

Pair Arrested During Domestic Dispute

A man and a woman were arrested Thursday night, each charged with domestic simple assault after a report of a domestic disturbance was made to police.

Daniel Asselin, 54, no address given and Nancy Manley, 34, no address given, were both arrested when police went to a Belmont Drive residence to investigate the complaint.

Manley was also charged with criminal mischief. She was arraigned on $2,000 personal recognizance bail.

Asselin was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail. They are both due in court on Tuesday morning.

Woman Charged with Simple Assault for Attack on Household Member

A 47-year-old Merrimack woman was charged with domestic simple assault for assaulting another member of her household, police say.

Marry Ellen Sullivan of 21 Crosswoods Path was detained just after 7 p.m. on Saturday in the incident. She was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in court this morning to answer to the charge.
