Police Nab Merrimack Man on Metal Thefts
Say surveillance footage helped track down their suspect.
Surveillance video helped police nab a man they say has been stealing metal irrigation supplies from a local landscaping company.
Merrimack Police on April 3 arrested Matt Wilusz, 28, of 40 Bedford Road, Merrimack, after he turned himself in on a warrant for theft by unauthorized taking.
Police say during th course of their investigation into the matter, the watched surveillance footage that shows Wilusz removing the items from the landscaping business that reported missing items. Wilusz was observed removing the parts and placing them in his vehicle.

Because the value of the supplies taken exceeded $1,500, Wilusz is facing a class A felony charge, which carries a sentence of up to 7 1/2 to 15 years in prison and up to $4,000 in fines.
He was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear before the 9th Circuit Court, District Division in Merrimack on April 16 to answer to the charge.
