One Killed in Crash on Merrimack-Bedford Line

Motorists are being urged to seek alternate routes.

One person was killed in a crash on the Everett Turnpike on Friday night near the Merrimack-Bedford line.

The accident was first reported around 7:10 p.m. in the area of Exit 13, according to emergency radio broadcasts. It happened in the northbound lane just before the Bedford tolls and there was reportedly heavy entrapment.

Bedford Patch reader Heather MacLeod Pfeifer reports that it was a 3-vehicle accident, with one car flipped over.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation said the left and center lanes had to be shut down. Motorists were urged to seek alternate routes as there will be heavy congestion for several hours.
