A Merrimack woman who police warned to avoid Sak's OFF 5th outlet store while they investigated a theft complaint against her, returned to the store less than a week later, earning her a second charge of criminal trespass, police say.
Angela Merrill, 36, of 11 Laurel St., Merrimack, was charged with theft by unauthorized taking and criminal trespass when she turned herself in to police on a warrant on Wednesday.
Police say the warrant was issued following two incidents, less than a week apart, at Sak's Off 5th outlet store at the Merrimack Premium Outlets.
Police were called to the outlet shop on Jan. 18 for a report of a woman who attempted to steal assorted footwear and clothing items from the store. Merrill was subsequently confronted by store security and held until police could arrive. While police prepared a warrant for her arrest, Merrill allegedly returned to the store, despite a warning from police to stay away from it, on Jan. 22. Police were notified of her return.
Merrill was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and is ordered to appear in Merrimack's district court on Feb. 5.
