2 to 4 Inches of Snow Likely in Merrimack Tonight into Saturday

Snowfall may be heavier between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m.

The National Weather Service is advising the area of the likely first accumulating snowfall of the season tonight in Cheshire and Hillsborough counties.

According to a special weather statement, rain is expected to mix and change to snow between 7 and 10 p.m. across the region. Snow may be heavy at times between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. and then taper off as dawn approaches. 

Accumulations of 2-4 inches are likely, with a few ares possibly reaching 5-6 inches depending upon the duration of the heavier snowfall.
