Note to all detractors: this is an example of the impossibility of "polite disagreement"Read More discussing political economy. At the end of the day, the supporters will end up taking money from you against your will. That is, you can disagree verbally, but you still better pay up...or else.

This is what happens when we don't teach teenagers in high school to grow up and be adults. TheyRead More turn into their 20's and have kids and treat their kids the way they treated other classmates in school. Time these people grow up. Ok so all this security for the marathon, what about the platform of train stations, parks duringRead More lunch, outdoor concerts, parades and charity walks? Give me a break. All this police presence and money spent and overtime is a scare tactic and can't possibly deter someone determined to carry anything out.

If I recall correctly - there was a bill introduced shortly after the Cate's incident where murderRead More in a home invasion would be added to the death penalty list. Sadly, the idiots out there that think they are doing "good" and get a "good feeling inside" when they fight for these despicable sub-humans, got it shot down. Death is inevitable, if life was ever-lasting, I could see the argument but since it isn't, is it really that horrible to take the life of someone who has taken a life themselves? Hmmm? You "liberal" assbags make me ill.

The death penalty certainly cuts down on the record number of incarcerations in America. Enough ofRead More this liberal crap on humane punishment. The word "humane' never enters the minds of these cold blooded killers. What is going to happen if another bombing takes place outside of Texas? Kevin, I know what entrapment is: inducing someone to commit a crime that the person wouldn'tRead More otherwise commit. It may not be entrapment, but that is because the person refilling his drink may have been unaware that it was not permitted, and therefore did not knowingly commit a crime. Just out of curiosity, when did you develop the amazing ability to read people's mind so that you could ascertain that "in all likelihood, the guy knew the refills were not free"?

When troops demobilized after WWII, Congress passed the GI Bill to address the 1946 - '47 recessionRead More by educating a glut of unemployed labor in the form of idled GIs. ________________________________________________________ "POSTWAR PROSPERITY AT HOME: 1945 -1960" ________________________________________________________ "Perhaps the most important measure taken in combating the recession was the Montgomery G.I. Bill, which Congress had passed in 1944 to help the 15 million returning U.S. veterans reenter the job market. Also known as the Servicemen’s Readjustment Act and the G.I. Bill of Rights, the G.I. Bill gave government grants to any veteran who wished to return to school. Neither Truman nor Congress predicted that more than half of returning veterans would take advantage of approximately $15 billion in federal grants to attend vocational schools, colleges, and universities. The G.I. Bill also set aside an equal amount of money to provide veterans with loans for new homes, farms, and businesses. ________________________________________________________ "Historians have since hailed the Montgomery G.I. Bill as the most significant law passed to address the concerns of the postwar years. It reduced fierce competition for jobs after the war and boosted the economy by helping millions of workers acquire new skills. Many have claimed that the economic boom in the 1950s would never have happened at all without the G.I. Bill." ________________________________________________________ http://www.sparknotes.com/history/american/coldwar/section4.rhtml ________________________________________________________ Educating New Hampshire's workforce isn't just good for the individuals who receive the education. It's good for all of us when the ripple effects of increased productivity and earnings enlarge the general pool of the state's prosperity.

How would we get tickets, Dave?
David McCray April 17, 2014 at 11:43 am
Davis once we get the replies we will get the capacity from Fire Marshall and then put out anRead More announcement that people can contact us and have tickets at the door. It is first come first serve on requests. The only reason for ticket system is for public safety if there is a high demand. We chose the small venue because it would be easy to manage and the TC section is perfect for the candidates to sit at. The forum will be aired 32 times on channel 22 so we hope Merrimack residents will be able to view the event even if they are not in attendance With that being said if you want tickets I will put you on the list. Thanks Dave
