I always give blood and sometimes platelets if Im a match for someone. The Red Cross is dear to myRead More heart as when my father died I was stationed overseas. The Army wasnt very helpful getting me home for the funeral but I approached the Red Cross and they made it happen. They are a good organization that helps a lot of people. Giving blood is quick, painless and saves lives, call your local Red Cross and see where the nearest blood donor clinic is, its the right thing to do!

I became a blood donor by accident. I was called for jury duty last year. As you know you have toRead More sit around and wait for your name to be called for a trial. While we were all waiting the jury attendant entered the room and announced that the mobile blood center just arrived. He said, " If you donate we will look very favorable upon you." I bolted out of my chair, ran down 4 flights of stairs , and got in line. My thinking was anything is better than sitting around another day waiting to be called for a trial. I was amazed at how fast and easy it was to donate blood. AND the jury attendant released me from jury duty for the next 3 years!! I've been donating blood every two months since that wonderful day I was released from jury duty...

Why is this called the NASHUA Patch? It's almost impossible to find any REAL Nashua news. WhenRead More will NashuaPatch get back to serving its purpose?

It's been a wild ride so far in Concord. The power going on and off. I'm hearing that a cold frontRead More is on it's way. That would be nice. I hate the heat & humidity. My son lives in Florida and loves it. I don't know....give the cold any day!

Once again, no attempt to converse. Throwing insults is all you can muster? Do you know how toRead More think critically and thoughtfully? Oh, and Denmark has one of the highest standards of living in the world. At least you were thoughtful enough to recommend such a highly desirable, highly evolved location for me to reside. :)

Joe Leydon, Variety: "To his credit, D'Souza gives screen time to a few interviewees -- likeRead More Native American rights activist Charmaine White Face -- who clearly aren't buying what he's selling. For the most part, however, D'Souza gives the impression of someone obsessed with whitewashing any and all dark chapters in U.S. history books."

It seems the right doesn't understand that America's mistakes and ownership of them is what makes usRead More great. Convicted felon, D'Souza, uses the same fantastical stylings of North Korea. "Those who cannot remember[or chose to ignore] the past are condemned to repeat it"
Keith Rayeski July 5, 2014 at 12:40 pm
I suppose Super Size may actually have it somewhat right. After all, look to the example the left isRead More leaving by allowing the mass exodus from Mexico by illegals....the product of, one should note, the SPANISH conquests of CENTRAL America!! To the victor, go the spoils.....and now, our constitutional republic is forced, for a time, to suffer the stench of the spoiling left.

Update as of noon on 7/3/14: Pancake breakfast is on Friday 7/4/14 as scheduled; Parade is onRead More Friday7/4/14 as scheduled; Family Fun Day is postponed to Sunday 7/6/14 starting at 3:00pm; Fireworks postponed to Sunday 7/6/14 at 9:00pm.

I think continuing the parade as scheduled when the forecast is 100% chance of rain is a very poorRead More decision. The participants, who make the parade what it is, go to considerable time, effort and expense to prepare their floats which is now just a terrible waste.

Thank you Charlene for posting, there are also higher instances of pets drowning during this weekendRead More as well. Between the heat, fireworks, toxic substance ingestion, and drowning, it is best to leave dogs in a safe area at home in the A/C preferably in a crate with access to a water bottle. Vermont Naturals makes a great product called "Calming Treats", it is available at PetLife. Also soft music or a TV running in the background can also ease anxiety. If you need additional help, please consult your veterinarian. I have never had luck with Thundershirts for our dogs in rescue, but the T-Touch wrap seems to work much better. You can Google for more information.

I first heard about this church Sunday......what I know so far...don't like it at all........thisRead More story infuriated me..... I had the pleasures of meeting Brandon over Thanksgiving along 3 other Marines including my nephew......these men and and women past n present sacrificed so much for us....its a shame they can't be shown some respect...........
