A motor vehicle accident on Turkey Hill Road, where no one was found at the car, resulted in the driver of the car's arrest on May 11. Merrimack Police arrested Robert Denis, 32, of 5 Adams Ave., Merrimack, on one count of aggravated operating under the influence of liquor and two counts of conduct after an accident. They were called to the area of 136 Turkey Hill Road for a reported accident at 2 a.m. on May 11 and found a black Mazda 3 with heavy front end damage and no operator around. It appeared that the Mazda 3 was heading south on Turkey Hill Road when it went off the shoulder of the road striking a column of mailboxes and a fire hydrant. Police say 17-year-old threatened another member of his household Friday night.
A teen was held in jail over the weekend following his arrest Friday night on charges that he threatened a member of a Timber Lane residence. Jean-Luc Dagastino, 17, was charged with domestic criminal threatening on May 17. Merrimack Police say hey were called to the Timber Lane home reporting a member of the household was in possession of a knife. A second call to the police indicated the knife had been used to threaten another person in the home. After a short investigation at the scene, police arrested Dagastino. At the police station he was placed on $5,000 cash-only bail, which he could not post. He was transported to the Hillsborough County House of Corrections in Manchester to await arraignment on Monday, May 20.

Students at Thorntons Ferry participated in simulation last Thursday, middle school is next up on May 23.
Like a well-oiled machine students, teachers and administration worked together with Merrimack emergency and town officials to conduct an evacuation drill at Thorntons Ferry Elementary School. The drill was part of an ongoing series of emergency drills designed to keep the schools and Merrimack's police and fire departments as well as town administration current on what they would do with the possibility a school would need to be evacuated and the students moved off campus. Merrimack man charged after sideswiping trees, hitting garage.
A Merrimack man was arrested for driving under the influence last week after mixing an over-the-counter drug with peppermint extract, which police say has a high alcohol content. James H. Sakelaris, 24, of 11 Cobblestone Drive, Merrimack, was charged with operating under the influence/driving while intoxicated – drugs, when Merrimack Police were called to his home for a report of a motor vehicle accident. They say they were alerted to a vehicle in the driveway with extensive passenger-side damage and identified Sakelaris as the operator of the vehicle. Police are still investigating this morning's accident near the intersection of Manchester Street and Daniel Webster Highway.
The operators of two vehicles that collided this morning on Daniel Webster Highway escaped serious injury, but both were transported to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Merrimack's police and fire departments were called at 9:22 Tuesday morning to a two-car accident at the intersection of Daniel Webster Highway and Manchester Street. Upon arrival they found a 2000 Ford F-250 registered to the town had collided with a 1999 Ford Escort. Both cars were sitting just off the roadway. Store clerks say Hispanic man cut security cord from phone and ran.
Merrimack Police are looking for a man they say made off with an iPhone after cutting the security cord at Verizon Wireless on Saturday. The man is described as Hispanic, approximately 5'8" or 5'9" and around 150 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt and he may have been riding a black freestyle-type bicycle. Police say they responded to the Verizon Wireless store in the Shaw's Plaza on Continental Boulevard at 12:34 p.m. on May 18. The clerks told police they were both busy assisting customers while another customer appeared to be browsing.
