VIDEO: Runners Honor Fallen NH Soldiers

Run for the Fallen kicks off its first Granite State event, organizer says it will be an annual one.

New Hampshire's First Run for the Fallen kicked off for the first time in this state early Sunday morning.

Organizer Julie Hurrie ran the race last year in Maine and decided to make it happen in New Hampshire. Among the runners was U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte, R-NH, who spoke for a couple minutes during the ceremony at the beginning of the event.

A feast was prepared post-run for the participants, volunteers and families of New Hampshire's fallen soldiers.
