Police Seeking Help Identifying Wednesday Bank Robber

Anyone with information about the man who held-up TD Bank at shot-gun point on Wednesday is asked to call Merrimack Police

As of late Wednesday night, police had no new information to release related to an early evening bank robbery at TD Bank on Daniel Webster Highway at Greeley Street, but they did have a couple more photos of the suspect.

The extraordinarily clear surveillance photos show a man pointing a shotgun wrapped in a blanket or towel at the tellers. The photos are timestamped 4:52 p.m.

According to a Nixle alert sent out by police shortly before 6 p.m., police are seeking the help of the public in identifying the man who managed to get out of the bank and out of the area before police arrived.

He is described as 5'6" and about 180-190 pounds. He was wearing a striped shirt, dark baseball cap an a pair of aviator-style sunglasses.

Anyone who was in the area that may have noticed anything is asked to contact the Merrimack Police Department at 603-424-3774. Tips can also be left anonymously at Merrimack Crimeline at 603-424-2424 or online at merrimackcrimeline.com or Merrimackpd.org.

Patch will have more on this story as it becomes available.

This is the second bank robbery in Merrimack since June.

On June 14, a heavy-set man made away with an undisclosed amount of cash after robbing the People's United in Pennichuck Square on Route 101A. The man allegedly displayed an explosive device to the teller.

Merrimack Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have been investigating the mid-morning bank robbery mid-June.

Police responded to People's United Bank in Pennichuck Square just before 10:30 a.m. that day for the call of a lone male bank robber who was possibly armed with a small bomb. Police said he gave the teller a note demanding money and was in and out of the bank "within minutes" fleeing on foot toward the back of the bank where it is believed he had parked or had a car waiting for him.
